We are based out of Sydney, Australia and train successful athletes worldwide with a low athlete:coach ratio. Chris is a USA Triathlon Level 1 Certified Coach, a USA Cycling Level 3 Certified Coach, an IRONMAN Certified Coach and an accomplished triathlete with almost 30 years of racing experience. He has competed at all distances of triathlon as both a pro and a top level amateur. He continues racing today, but finds ultimate enjoyment in coaching others.
While pursuing his undergraduate degree at The University of Texas in Austin, Chris served as a charter member of Austin Triathletes and the Texas Triathletes. In 1989, he was the Texas State Triathlon Champion and 3rd at the World's Toughest Triathlon which served as the National Ultra-Distance Championship. After graduating, Chris continued to pursue triathlon and was a top ranked triathlete in the South-Midwest Region for many years. In recent years, Chris has focused primarily on Ironman distance triathlons, winning his age group at Ironman Kentucky and qualifying for and competing at the Ironman World Championships in Kona twice. Chris returned to his ironman distance roots by completing the inaugural Ironman Lake Tahoe in 2013.
Today, Chris is the head coach and brains behind Athlete Architecture, a science based approach to individualized endurance training. He along with exercise physiologist, Bennett Fallow, design custom training plans and individualized coaching for athletes of all ability levels. They take a unique approach which encompasses science, lifestyle, nutrition, and functional testing to provide the most effective and efficient training possible.
Chris understands his athletes lead fulfilled lives outside of endurance training. His athletes excel competitively while maintaining a healthy balance between family, work, and social demands.
